Updates

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since my last post. If anyone is even reading this anymore!

Since I joined the ranks of the working moms out there, I have felt like a chicken with my head cut off....running around blindly trying to get from point A to point B on time!! I am almost always late picking Nate up at the babysitters. I sit in traffic for WAY longer than I want to every day. My commute to work is not that bad, but the way back is not fun. I am still in the "know just enough to be dangerous but not enough to advise students effectively" phase at work, so I feel unintelligent most of the day! I miss my boys so much. But I have to say I do like having a place to feel like a professional person. One day soon I will feel confident that I know what I'm talking about here.

DJ is happily at home today through Wednesday for his spring break. I am so jealous!! But I know that he needs some "daddy and Nate time" and I'm excited for both of them. Just wish I could be there too. Even though DJ is off, he is still taking Nate to the babysitter today and tomorrow for part of the day. We figured since we have to pay for it, he might as well take advantage of the quietness! I am off on Friday for our one day of spring break that this university allows. On this day we have Nate's 4 month Dr. appointment and that means lots of SHOTS. Not fun for Nate and definitely not fun for mommy! Last time nearly broke my heart hearing and watching him scream his head off. Yuck.

We enjoyed this past weekend. Polanco came to visit us, and my parents were in town for Bryson's 2nd birthday party! It was at McDonalds, and it is probably the last McD's party I will ever get DJ to go to....but at least we were all together. :) Followed that with shopping, dinner with the family, and an evening at Lori and Dustin's house and it was a great day! It was sad to see Polanco and my parents go. Hopefully we will be able to make it down to San Marcos this weekend to see the other half of the family! We shall see....DJ has to work Friday so it would be a late start. But we're hoping to make the trip.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. How am I posting this while at work, you ask? Well you see, there are just no students around to advise or observe. We are waiting on a report to work on, and in the meantime have absolutely nothing to do. Thank heaven for the internet! :)
