Weekend update....

But not of the SNL variety! We have had a pretty great weekend, with one exception: DJ's dad is back in the hospital. He had surgery on his foot on Wednesday of last week and actually went home the same day. But today he was having other issues and ended up in the ER pretty much ALL DAY. He is feeling better now and is in a room. But it has been a very long day for his poor parents and the rest of us who have been waiting by the phone for updates.

Yesterday Baby Nate and I went over to the Bettencourt's house to help them pack. Ramsey kept Nate occupied (in his face giving him lots of kisses!) and then he fell asleep in her lap on the couch. It was absolutely adorable and she was so excited! Then we looked at them a few minutes later and she was asleep too! So cute. Lori and I got most of her kitchen packed and then Nate and I left to go meet DJ so we could go grocery shopping. DJ and I had our favorite dinner...at Marketstreet! This is our grocery store, in case you didn't know what Marketstreet is...it's like a cross between Central Market and a regular grocery store. They have the BEST salad bar, which is what I always get, and DJ got a burger because last time we were there he saw a man eating a really yummy looking burger and he wanted it! We were both happy and full when we continued in the store to get our groceries.

Nate had a good day today. I made him some baby food peas which he actually ate! And DJ put together his jumper thingy that hangs from the doorway and he absolutely loved it! He took a nap on daddy and mommy today and we all enjoyed that. I will have some pictures posted soon, when I can get to it. It was a relaxing day...hey, I love any day that I don't have to put any makeup on or go anywhere!! Here's to a great week and not a lot of bad traffic!! Have a good Monday, everyone! And please pray for DJ's dad and a speedy recovery.

Eating cereal...sort of!

Here is a video of us feeding Nate cereal. As you can see, he's not sure how he feels about it. We are just super excited he's not screaming or crying, and we're taking this as a victory!

Root Beer at 8 am

I'm hoping this is not an indication of how the whole day will go...

When I got to work this morning I was thirsty and didn't have any water at home to bring with me so I thought I'd go down to the vending machine and buy a water bottle to reuse it with the water we have in the office. (I should have just brought a cup from home, but wasn't thinking straight this morning!) So I get out my wallet and start scraping together all of my change and turns out I don't have enough. I have to borrow some change from my coworkers...no big deal. So then I get down to the vending machine and put in all the dimes and nickels and finally get to pick my drink.....and I pushed the WRONG number!! Out comes a Root Beer. What?? Did I really just do that? Ugh. Now I am stuck with Root Beer at 8 am. I love Root Beer...but I was really thirsty and really just wanted some good ol' water.

Not a good sign of how the rest of the day will go, but that's why I'm venting about it early. Perhaps since I am getting it out of my system now, the day can just get better! Actually, I'm just going to look at all the pictures I posted last night and that will lift my spirits! And I'll enjoy this root beer, dammit! Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Baby Nate's first Easter

Baby Nate and Aunt Jenni
We had a great Easter Sunday with my side of the family, minus Mom and Dad. We all went to our various churches and then met for lunch at the Bettencourt's house....probably for the last time at this house! After lunch the kids hunted Easter eggs, and Ramsey was so sweet bringing Baby Nate some eggs for his basket! She sure does love to be close to Baby Nate. Kisses all the time! It was a great time. We missed our family that we didn't see though. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!
