My last week....and some pics

Spa day?

First nap in his big crib

With all his little friends!

We took this the day it snowed

My favorite picture yet of these two!

Well, here we are. Tomorrow is the last day of my last week at home with Nate. I am so sad. I know it is all for the best and we literally couldn't survive without me having this job....but I am going to miss being with him every day. Watching him grow and learn is just amazing. Someone else will be witnessing all the rest of his "first" moments (well maybe not all of them, but a lot), and that breaks my heart. Next week is going to be very hard.
That being said...I am excited about my new job. It will be fun to get dressed every day again and feel like a professional person. That's really all I can think of to say right now. My mind is consumed with feelings of guilt and sadness.....
Here are some pics of Nate to brighten your day. I know they brighten mine!

3 months old!

So...I totally dropped the ball yesterday and did not post about Nate turning 3 months old. But yesterday, Feb. 16th, was Nate's 3 month mark. :) I can't believe he's getting so big, but when I hold him I sure can tell! He is learning so much...it's amazing to watch him do new things every day!

At month 3 he is:

Smiling all the time at us
Focusing his eyes on us and following us around the room
Cooing and "talking" to us throughout the day...getting more vocal in the evenings
Holding his head up during tummy-time for a long time
Still not enjoying tummy-time, but he can do it for longer periods
Bringing his hands together in front of him
Trying to hold his bottle...or at least putting both hands around it while he's eating
Starting to reach for objects and holding on for a little while

Can't wait to see what the next 3 months brings!!

Great weekend!

Well we had a really great, but very busy weekend. DJ's folks came for the weekend and it was so great to spend some time with them! And all the extra help with Nate didn't hurt either! Nana just loves to take care of him, and he even got to sleep with them! Pepo pushed him around Costco in his stroller and loved every minute of it, and is so proud of the pictures we got of this moment. It's so great when family comes to visit, and we were sad to see them go.

Saturday night brought Dustin's b-day party...80s themed...and we saw some hilarious outfits! Mr. T, Al and Peggy Bundy, Miami Vice, Madonna, Dee Snider, mullets....and even Brian dressed up!! I felt really lame in my "half-ass" outfit, but I rocked the tight-rolled jeans and pigtails. It was a great night with some "totally awesome" people. If only DJ had gotten to stay around longer...he definitely would have done "the worm" with Wes! Happy Birthday, Dustin!

Sunday (Valentines Day) was a busy and fun-filled day also. We went to the wedding of my college friend Amy Looney to her sweetheart Greg. We got to see Adriane, Kyle, Angie, Andy and Angie's mom and aunt! Plus Val and Rhett! It was SO GREAT to hang out with my best buddies...it doesn't happen near enough. They got to meet Nate finally, and we had lots of fun passing him around the table and watching him laugh and smile at everyone. Everyone thought he was really cute and we loved showing him off! From the reception we went to downtown Fort Worth to meet up for a few minutes with DJ's sis Christy who is in town for a work conference. It was a short visit, but Nate got to see his aunt and that was great!

Today we said goodbye to Nana and Pepo, and I've been entertaining Nate while Daddy was at work. It was a whirlwind....but a fun and memorable weekend for all three of us!

Walkin' in a winter wonderland....

Winter wonderland!

Cutest baby ever?? :)

I'm ready to go!

Mommy loves me

I'm daddy's twin!

Snow started coming down in the DFW area around 3:00 am this morning and has not STOPPED!! And it is 3:50 pm. I snapped a few pics from the apartment, but since then we have gotten more snow. I love it! Mostly because I don't have to go out in it much, but we did have to go pick up the car today from the dealership....something is wrong with it and they had to order a new part for it so we won't be able to get it fixed until next week. YUCK! Anyways, Nate had his first dose of snow today and he didn't even know it!
Hopefully the roads will clear up tomorrow because I have another interview to go to! Second interview with Tolleson Wealth Management. I really liked this place...the people were all really nice and it seemed like a fun place to work. Plus it is closer to us than Arlington. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)
ALSO...Nana and Pepo are coming to visit us for the weekend and they should get here tomorrow afternoon! We are so excited and are really looking forward to their visit. Can't wait to see them and for them to see how big Nate has gotten. THEN....we have Dustin's bday party Saturday night. How fun, and it is 80s themed! Sunday will also be very busy with a wedding of my friend Amy, and then a visit with DJ's sis Christy! WHEW! I'm tired already! Better get a good night's sleep tonight.....

Ok, so we are a little obsessed....

With making videos of the boy that is. But Nate's Nana and Pepo just love watching him on these videos, and until they get here to visit or we get up there, this is the only visual contact they get with him....so we will keep putting more videos out there for you all to watch. If you don't like it, don't watch! :) But I know that's not going to happen, because he's just too cute not to watch!!

Anyways, this one is really long (DJ gets a little carried away!) but he does some cute stuff in it. He's really starting to use his hands more and is exploring with his mouth. We are so in love with our little guy!

Well, my mom left today. It was really nice to have so much time with her, even though we didn't see her every day. She helped me clean out all of the maternity clothes from my closet today before she left, and I am so grateful! My side of the closet was so full of clothes I could hardly get anything new in it! Now I've got to figure out what to do with all of the maternity clothes until the next baby comes with the limited space we have! But I've got room to breathe in there now and that is awesome! Just have to get DJ's side thinned out a bit and we'll be ok! Looking forward to Nana and Pepo's visit this coming weekend. It's going to be a busy one! But more on that later. Alrighty....time for bed. Night-night!

Another video of Nate! :)

He's getting so big and talking so much now! And this toy he has usually hangs from his carseat, but I took it down for him to play with. He's barely grabbing things right now, but in this video he is holding on to his toy for a bit. Oh...and he obviously has the hiccups! Poor baby....Enjoy!

Mom is here!

Yay! Mom arrived today for a whole week! And the even more exciting news is that I finally got my hair cut!! Maybe I'll have time soon to post some pics. I have another interview on Thursday with a totally different company, Tolleson Wealth Management. They manage money, investments, etc for the wealthiest DFW residents...I am interviewing for an Administrative Assistant position. I'm hoping that if I get this position I can meet Troy Aikman or someone cool like that!! Wouldn't that be awesome?? Of course I couldn't post a blog about the experience because of the company's strict confidentiality, but it sure would be cool! We'll see...first I have to get through the hour and a half long interview.

Not much else to report. Lori came over today with Bryson to drop mom off and we all ate lunch together. Bryson is such a ham!!! He is such a troublemaker...but the sweetest and most precious troublemaker I know. He is really into the word "why" right now, and will constantly ask you why when you ask him to do something. It's really cute to me, but I'm sure Lori and Dustin are "over it"!!

Tomorrow Nate and I are going to spend time with Grammie, Aunt B (Lori), and her kiddos. Hopefully Aunt Jenni will also be able to hang out with us after she gets off of work, we'll see! I need some new shoes to wear to this interview...my old black ones are not looking so hot! Ok, time for memes.... (that means sleep if you didn't already know that!) Night-night!
