Well we had a really great, but very busy weekend. DJ's folks came for the weekend and it was so great to spend some time with them! And all the extra help with Nate didn't hurt either! Nana just loves to take care of him, and he even got to sleep with them! Pepo pushed him around Costco in his stroller and loved every minute of it, and is so proud of the pictures we got of this moment. It's so great when family comes to visit, and we were sad to see them go.
Saturday night brought Dustin's b-day party...80s themed...and we saw some hilarious outfits! Mr. T, Al and Peggy Bundy, Miami Vice, Madonna, Dee Snider, mullets....and even Brian dressed up!! I felt really lame in my "half-ass" outfit, but I rocked the tight-rolled jeans and pigtails. It was a great night with some "totally awesome" people. If only DJ had gotten to stay around longer...he definitely would have done "the worm" with Wes! Happy Birthday, Dustin!
Sunday (Valentines Day) was a busy and fun-filled day also. We went to the wedding of my college friend Amy Looney to her sweetheart Greg. We got to see Adriane, Kyle, Angie, Andy and Angie's mom and aunt! Plus Val and Rhett! It was SO GREAT to hang out with my best buddies...it doesn't happen near enough. They got to meet Nate finally, and we had lots of fun passing him around the table and watching him laugh and smile at everyone. Everyone thought he was really cute and we loved showing him off! From the reception we went to downtown Fort Worth to meet up for a few minutes with DJ's sis Christy who is in town for a work conference. It was a short visit, but Nate got to see his aunt and that was great!
Today we said goodbye to Nana and Pepo, and I've been entertaining Nate while Daddy was at work. It was a whirlwind....but a fun and memorable weekend for all three of us!
