First day of work

Wow! It's been a long day! Getting up at 5 am is NOT fun....but I did discover that I don't need to get up that early after all. I was 30 mins early, and had some extra time before I even left the house. So this week will be spent figuring out what time to leave to get there at a decent and not too early time!

I really like the job and my new coworkers. There are 4 new advisors all starting together in the same office, so I am not the only newbie. We are going to be trained in a group so that we all start with the same base of information, which is nice. The only part of today that was not nice was the weather. It was in the low 40s all day and raining. On top of that, we had to walk to the other side of campus (in the rain) to get our staff ID cards. It was freezing and wet, but we survived!

I think DJ had a harder time dropping Nate off than I had leaving. He let me sleep the past two nights and did "Nate duty" in the middle of the night. Then he got him dressed and fed before dropping him off. So daddy deserves a nice break tonight! And apparently Nate did very well with the babysitter (Sherry), smiling and talking to the little girls. He is the only little boy at the sitter's place and definitely the youngest...so he gets lots of attention from the ladies! Ok, well I am seriously tired from my super extra early morning so I'm signing off now. Bed by 10:30 tonight!
